Why we built Open Yard
Car hire in Nigeria runs on WhatsApp. An operator sends a number, you transfer money, and hope the car arrives. When it does not, there is no paper trail and no recourse.
We started Open Yard because corporate teams in Abuja deserve better than that, and fleet owners deserve a predictable income, not a phone full of missed calls.
What we do
Open Yard is a three-sided marketplace. Fleet owners list their verified vehicles. Corporate clients browse, book, and get full documentation. We handle the matching, the record-keeping, and the payment flow so neither side has to chase the other.
Our founding fleet
We launched with a small founding group of Abuja-based fleet owners who agreed to one standard: every booking is on paper. That means a booking confirmation, a driver assignment, and a payment record the client can take to finance.
Based in Abuja, built for Nigeria
We know the roads, the traffic patterns, and the corporate calendar of Nigeria's capital. Every vehicle in the Open Yard network is Abuja-based, available on short notice, and operated by an owner who has skin in the game.
